Welcome to the Blain research file area.  You may down load any of these files.  The image files are *.tif same as many of the fax files today.  The rest of the files are *.gif & *.jpg format.  These files were downloaded in my hunt for Blain Family ancestors.  

    The first files are reproductions of the census files.  The image files are the census files for the years indicated.  They are not the same files.  All files have Blain Family members on them, but not all family members are my family or my ancestors.  If you click on the file name the file will load or offer to download to your computer.  If the file loads click on the file and save it to your Computer as a picture.  

       Alexander Blain is my 7th. Great Grandfather, he was born May 8, 1712 in Londonderry, Ireland.   When he came to America, I am not sure.  Recording to the letter from J. Blain to Wm. Reid, sometime before 1738.  An old Bible returned to J. Blain by Wm. Reid shows that Alexander and Hannah Devonshire were married in 1738 or 39, the bible reading is not clear.  I have another letter from Samuel Murrell to his grandson W. D. Murrell which states that Hannah McCurry married Alexander Blain.  I hope to receive some history on Alexander soon that may help clear some of this up.  Alexander moved from Pennsylvania after his marriage to Albemarle Co. Virginia were he raised his family, until moving to Lincoln Co. Kentucky.  If Sarah (Sallie) Blain) was his youngest child and she was born 9/7/1755 or 7/9/1755, (I have it both ways).  Hannah had 9 or 11 children from 38 to 55, nine are in Alexander's will, but J. Blain said 11.  He is listed on a plaque as a Revolutionary Solder of Lincoln Co. Kentucky.  I have a picture of the plaque at Lincoln Co.  Courthouse in Stanford, Kentucky.  If he was a Lincoln Co. Revolutionary Solder, he must have moved to Kentucky. before 1781 or 1785.  These are just a few of the questions I am trying to get answers too.
